| TransTex J. Greg Sargent is CEO of TransTex Gas Services, LP. He started TransTex in 2006 with the vision of being a full service, turnkey supplier of gas treating and processing equipment. In the early 90’s, Mr. Sargent helped build a small midstream company with only a few miles of pipeline to a major West and South Texas gathering company. From 1996 to 2006, Mr. Sargent worked at Hanover in the International arena by heading the Turnkey group which installed numerous gas facilities throughout the world. Mr. Sargent also created the amine treating group and built the fleet up from one plant to become the largest amine treating fleet in the US. In 2003, Mr. Sargent became VP of manufacturing and implemented Hanover’s first cost reduction program with a management operating system. Mr. Sargent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. Wes Whatley is the Vice President of Engineering and Construction for TransTex Gas Services, LP. He is responsible for the process & design engineering, along with the reconditioning, new fabrication and installation of all TransTex equipment. Before coming to TransTex, Mr. Whatley spent the previous four years working for UOP as a Development Engineer in UOP’s Petrochemicals Development group, mainly focusing on the Parex ADS-37 Project and as a Chief Technical Advisor for UOP’s Field Operating Services specializing in new unit startups, revamps, troubleshooting, optimizations, and turnarounds. He came on board with TransTex in 2006 as our lead Process/Project Engineer but quickly rose to Vice President. Mr. Whatley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University-College Station. Robert Shimek is the Vice President of Operations for TransTex Gas Services, LP. He brings 26 years of experience in many areas of the natural gas industry. His responsibilities include the startup, operation and maintenance of TransTex’s ever expanding fleet of amine plants, JT plants, Dehydrators, Generators and all other associated equipment. Before coming to TransTex, Mr. Shimek was the Area Operations Manager for Enterprise Products Operating, responsible for overseeing the operation, training, safety and maintenance of many treating and processing plants located throughout Texas. He has been the administrator of company policies and procedures and has been responsible for enforcing all safety policies, conducted safety meetings, and participated in Process Safety Management meetings. Mr. Shimek began his career with BWT-Moore Inc. as an amine treating plant operator and has risen steadily in responsibilities through the years. This level of detailed knowledge insures his tremendous ability to fully comprehend the intricacies of managing a successful operation from start to finish. Barry Harwell is responsible for the sales of TransTex services and its marketing activities as Business Development Manager. Mr. Harwell’s professional history has most recently focused on the sales and service of pipeline and production treating chemicals. Mr. Harwell is highly knowledgeable of the effects H2S, CO2 and solids have on pipelines and understands the need for up front treating. Before his interests and expertise in sales, Mr. Harwell was involved in the oil and gas commercial diving and sub sea construction, inspections and installation industry for production platforms and pipelines, including maintenance from startup to plug and abandonment. He holds several certifications, including an NDT certification for subsea inspection and Petroleum Education Council. Mr. Harwell is associated with the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and has studied Business Management at the University of Houston. Stephen Morgan is a member of our Business Development team at TransTex and is responsible for the ongoing sales and marketing of our equipment and services along with providing continuous customer service to our current clientele. His professional career has involved numerous successful sales experiences in different industries. Before his entry into the Oil and Gas industry, Mr. Morgan graduated in 2008 from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business with a Management minor. At Sam Houston Mr. Morgan was a student leader serving in the student government and held Executive positions in numerous student organizations. Mr. Morgan is an active member of the Houston Gas Processors Association, Houston Producers Forum, and the Houston Chapter of Young Professionals in Energy. Sonja Cantu is the Office Manager responsible for all facets of business operations and management at the Houston headquarters of TransTex Gas Services. In addition to office logistics, contract management and insurance compliance, she also oversees the company’s marketing and public relations campaigns, as well as investor relations. Prior to joining TransTex, Mrs. Cantu served in both management and administrative capacities for public companies in the oil and gas, insurance and computer technology industries. Mrs. Cantu holds an Executive Secretary Certificate from the Bradford School of Business. |
